Dion hails from Twillingate, Newfoundland. His path to success in music and business is nothing short of extraordinary. During the most difficult times of his childhood, he became fixated on music and began singing and playing various instruments to escape his negative surroundings. Due to his passion for music, Dion's mother enrolled him in the Cambridge Kiwanis Boys Choir in Canada. He quickly became the choir's featured soloist and had the opportunity to tour North America and Europe with the choir. He got his first taste of the recording industry when he was selected as a soloist on one of the Choir's Christmas Favourites. As his passion for music continued to grow, he attended a performing arts college, where he studied vocals and instrumental music. During this time, he learned to play more than 10 instruments.

Dion's musical success was defined by the release of his single "Maybe" in Canada. An instant hit, "Maybe" received airplay on CHR radio stations and dance charts nationwide and appeared on numerous best-selling pop/dance compilation albums, including two popular MC Mario compilations released through Sony Music Canada. The song launched Dion onto the Canadian dance music scene. Its follow-up single, "Magic," was equally successful, earning Dion a Canadian East Coast Music Award nomination. Dion's third single, a remake of Corey Hart's 1985 mega-hit "Never Surrender," exploded on radio stations across the country and earned Dion one of two Canadian East Coast Music Award nominations. "Never Surrender" also appeared on one of Canada's best-selling pop/dance compilations, released by Universal Music Canada, Groove Station 11. With the changing tide of the music industry, Dion decided to take a break to pursue his other business interests. His diverse business experience led him to serve as Regional Director of Operations for one of the world's largest international tour operators, Transat A.T. Dion's business experience and expertise are the result of ventures and leadership positions in a variety of business sectors, including mining, entertainment, automotive, gemology, and travel/tourism. A successful entrepreneur, he founded Solauro Industries Inc., an environmentally conscious mining company focused on the reclamation and rehabilitation of abandoned mining landscapes. Another of Dion's ventures, a rare gemstone collection, has been recognized with multiple Guinness World Records.

An accomplished entrepreneur, Dion's entrepreneurial prowess was recently confirmed when he earned an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from one of the world's most prestigious universities, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). Dion returned to the music industry in 2017 with his powerful dance ballad "Rocketship State of Mind." Dion and his mother wrote the lyrics for the song, drawing on their time spent as a child in an animal shelter in St. John's, Newfoundland. The song was produced by Grammy Award-winner Philip Larsen.

"Rocketship State of Mind" peaked at number 22 on the Canadian Top 100 (ADISQ) and reached the top ten on numerous charts, including number 1 in New Brunswick with 97.1 CKRO-FM. The song received extensive play in other countries, including the US, and was featured on Zip DJ's "On the Radar." Dion's latest single, "Remedy for Insanity," was released on October 9, 2018, and immediately charted:

An EP of club mixes for "Remedy for Insanity," aptly titled the "Club Cure EP," was released on November 23, 2018. The EP is a diverse collection of six club mixes from some of the world's most successful remixers, including 2018 Juno Award winner Nick Fiorucci and American remix legend, as well as 2016 Grammy Award winner Dave Audé, who is credited with an unprecedented 140 #1 Billboard hits (and counting). The EP peaked at number one on the iTunes Dance Albums sales chart in Canada.
