Music informations to this wine

Spirituosi

Associations with spirit, fire, wind, breath, and distillate were certainly intentional in the choice of the ensemble's name. The unusual combination of soprano, flute, and cello of the sisters Nathalie, Evelyn, and Nicole Peña Comas with the guitars of Damien Lancelle and Gonzalo Manrique and the double bass of Rubén Sánchezer opens up original possibilities for interpretations in a wide variety of styles. Behind each arrangement of this exotic repertoire of classical and folk music, with a focus on Latin America, lies the artists' intention to retain the essential aspects of the original while simultaneously utilizing the exceptional instrumentation to create something new and special. Presented as moderated concerts, this repertoire becomes a comprehensive, intense concert experience in which music, artists, and audience interact and create together.

The Ensemble Spirituosi strives to spread the typical music of the Caribbean and Latin America throughout the world. To achieve this, they have compiled the most emblematic works of Latin America and the Caribbean. The music is presented in a "classical style" and offers new technical possibilities for the ensemble's instruments, while maintaining the indigenous rhythms of each Latin American culture.

Souvenir Latino

"Souvenir Latino" includes typically Latin American rhythms and dances such as the Peruvian waltz, Dominican bachata, merengue, mangulina, media tuna chence, and yuca, as well as a selection of songs and chamocons by Gabriel Fauré, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Marguerite Monnot, and Carlos Guastavino.

The mutual influence of France and Latin America is underscored by the songs "L'hymne à l'amour" and "Que nadie sepa mi sufrir" (La foule in the French version), each song having crossed the ocean and enjoyed overwhelming success in its translated version. Traditional rhythms as well as humorous and passionate lyrics bring the Latin American idiosyncrasy to life.
